From the opening Bavarian evening to the closing ceremony, Europeade 36 was a festival of spectacle and friendship. The organisers are to be congratulated for such a successful event.

A special thanks to the people of Bayreuth for the warm welcome they gave to all the dancers. Audiences appeared as if by magic and a crowd of thousands lined the route of the parade from the Hofgarten to the Neu Rathaus.

And we must not forget the Maisel's Brewery and their magic nectar!

This was the Lyra Greek dancers first visit to the Europeade and the memories will last a lifetime. I hope you enjoy these images of the festival but I have to warn you they are unashamedly biased towards Lyra.
