The
concept of thinking lean is not just restricted to manufacturing
companies but can be applied to any business. In particular it
focusses on the elimination on waste in all its forms:

Lean is all about
getting value for effort which in turn maximises effectiveness

are a number of 'lean' techniques that can be applied to assist
