1. INTERIM PLAN ? 3 KEY THEMES:

2. FROM JAN 98 CONFERENCE (98/99 PLAN):

the need to celebrate existing quality services & build on them
the necessity for all providers to co-ordinate & share experience & skills
the desire by parents for more flexibility in services, and
the importance of maintaining the current prominence of early years issues in relation to other services and developing quality in all settings.

This Plan included the Section.19 Review of childcare services and 5 key principles (equality; open & accessible; spirit of partnership; focus on whole needs of children & families; meet explicit care and quality standards). Subsequently childcare is being promoted by Government and now forma part of the Partnership (building on Affordable Childcare section.

3. GUARANTEE FOR "4" YEAR OLDS:

Delivering guarantee at present - from Jan 99 recording d.o.b to provide "adjusted form.7." returns based on actual age.
Monitoring of in/out migration of Bristol ? conclusions & approach
Responsibility for monitoring; payments; etc. Unmet need???
