What is Avon Parents Network?
Avon Parents Network is an information and helpline service for parents and workers caring for children. It is part of a network of children's information services throughout the UK.

What do we offer?
INFORMATION: We offer a comprehensive, co-ordinated and updated information service on day-care provision and other facilities for children. We aim to promote the information throughout the four unitary authority areas of Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Bath & North East Somerset and North Somerset, making sure it is accessible to all WORKERS and PARENTS with children.
DEVELOPMENT: By identifying gaps in services we can work with parents, carers, professionals, workers and various groups to expand and develop new forms of provision, as well as promoting good quality and high standards.
ACCESS TO TRAINING & EMPLOYMENT: One stop access to day-care information for employees and trainees/ students.
RAISING THE ISSUE OF CHILDCARE: Locally and Nationally: Promoting partnerships with public, private and statutory organisations and Liaising and networking across all sectors.
CONSULTANCY & OTHER SERVICES: We also provide a range of consultancy services on specifically commissioned pieces of work - including Employees Information Packs; Work Place Presentations; Mailing Service; Informal Childcare Information Sessions.
