1 The estimates make no allowance for migration between wards or in/out of Bristol between 1991 and 1997.

2 The census data is based on April data, whilst births and deaths cover a 12 month period from January to December each year.

3 No allowance is made for deaths of children aged 1 to 8 between 1991 and 1997.

4 1991 Census data, on which the estimates are based, is subject to problems of under enumeration, especially within Inner City areas.

5 Data may not add to total due to ONS data modifications in order to preserve confidentiality.
