Film Society Awards 2001

The awards were presented by film director Nicola Bruce at The National Film Theatre on 11th March 2001.  A judging team takes into account the location, competing facilities, history, energy and enthusiasm of societies in reaching its decision. Not all the details are available to me.

Film Society of the Year trophy.

WOKING's NEW CINEMA CLUB - Film Society of the Year
The club previously won the award in 1988 so have a long record of excellence.

Reel People at Kilmersdon - Marketing Award.

Cinema Obscura - Best New Society

York Student Cinema and Aberdeen University - Best Student Societies

Edinburgh University Film Society - Jim Dempster Award for Innovation

Keswick Film Club at the Alhambra - Best Film Programme.
