The author is Czech-born, Ivo Dasek who has been making films and writing about sound for many years. Ivo now lives in Switzerland and
published the book in German (Kreative Videovertonung - ein Handbuch für Videoamateure). It was translated into English as a labour of love by Dave and Jan Watterson - who are both actively involved in the British amateur film making world.
