McGuffin Film Society (Leytonstone)

Venue: The McGuffin Film & Television Society is an independent community organisation dedicated to the promotion of classic, arthouse, cult and unusual film and TV in and around Waltham Forest and North East London. The Society is committed to screening material that is not normally found in mainstream commercial cinemas and which reflects the rich cultural diversity of the local population. The Society is also concerned with the protection of cinema buildings.

The temporary new venue is located in the building occupied by the Forest Recycling Project , 2c Bakers Avenue Walthamstow London E17 9AW - near the corner of Hoe Street. The building is adjacent to the Hornbeam Environmental Centre and Café. Film screenings will commence at approximately 8.45pm with soft drinks, organic beers and light snacks available before and after each performance next door at the Hornbeam Café which will be open especially to cater for our attendees at these screenings.

Membership: Admission to each performance is £5. Household Membership costs £5 per year, and entitles every person normally resident within the household (excluding multi-occupancy dwellings) to attend film screenings as a full member.
