If you or any other British M.E. sufferer want to make a complaint about the outrageous lengths some British researchers are going to in order to prove M.E. is just psychological, here are the CCHR addresses in the United Kingdom. Or, if you want to register a complaint against any psychiatric abuse you, a loved one, or friend has suffered.

The Citizens Commission on Human Rights is an international organisation that fights psychiatric abuse. It was established by the Church of Scientology in 1968. Some of the things the CCHR has worked on include getting that hospital in Australia closed that was using deep sleep therapy on patients without their consent and so many people were dying or left permanently disabled because of this treatment.
Another case they worked on was putting the California psychiatrist behind bars who was sexually molesting many of his patients and ended up castrating one because of jealousy, because the man got married. And they helped with the problem we had here in the USA with the for-profit psychiatric hospital that was preying on military personnel and their dependants for the very generous CHAMPUS benefits.
They also have offices in Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Australia (New Zealand and Oceania), Holland, Israel, Italy, Mexico (Latin America), Norway, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland as well as in the US and the UK. I talked with my friend who works at CCHR International in Los Angeles the other week, and she wanted to know if I'd read Osler's Web yet, that she had heard of the book and wants to get a copy. She knows a lot about how CFIDS/M.E. patients have been treated by the medical establishment and its fondness for labelling CFIDS/M.E. as psychological.
The CCHR International Office also is concerned about the increasing tendency to label physical illnesses as psychological, thus depriving patients of treatments that would help and in some cases save lives. They've also been very concerned about Prozac and the drugs in that group because of the unpredictability of these drugs and some of the very extreme reactions.
