Qualifying in 1977, Alice left general practice in Ireland to train at the Faculty of Homoeopathy in 1981 becoming registrar at the Royal London Homoeopathic Hospital for one year. She subsequently joined the NHS as a GP combining homoeopathic and orthodox medicine, and studied further with George Vithoulkas in the UK and Alonissos, Greece. In private practice since 1986, in addition to homoeopathy, Alice is chairwoman of the British Association for Autogenic Training and Therapy, with whom she has been a course lecturer for many years, and she has completed a three year professional training in counselling with the Psychosynthesis and Education Trust. Alice has regularly lectured for the Faculty, having a reputation for clarity when lecturing on even the most involved or difficult subjects.
