Welcome to my pages about Bedwas Colliery. I hope you enjoy your visit to this corner of the Web, which takes a mainly nostalgic view of the Edwardian colliery which closed in 1985. Bedwas itself is situated within the Rhymney Valley around 8 miles from Newport. The site has received many visitors with Bedwas connections and I do hope you will visit the feedback page.

Although I have been too busy with a new family addition to spend as much time on the site as I would have liked in the last 12 months, for January 2005 there are new e-mails uploaded, many from people with interesting recollections and who are seeking further information.
