The walk starts and finishes in Baslow, (only a mile from the renowned Chatsworth House).  The walk covers 25 miles of mixed terrain,  including the Derbyshire gritstone edges, Eyam and Longstone moors, as well as dales in both the Dark (gritstone) Peak and the white (limestone) areas.  The later stages of the walk includes part of the Monsal Trail before finishing through the grounds of Chatsworth House.  It is entirely set in the National Park and is a challenging walk with an 11 Hour time limit and contains 3500 feet of ascent.

Upon receiving your entry application we shall forward an acknowledgement (including your entry number) and this will be followed by full details and final instructions which will be forwarded before the end of July 2004 and will include a sketch map of Baslow with start and other information fully marked,  together with comprehensive route and checkpoint details.

We shall be providing (as part of your entry fee)
    1) An embroidered Chatsworth Challenge Walk badge
    2) Hot pie and pea meal at the finish with beverages
    3) Drinks and biscuits en route
    4) Certificates for all finishers
    5) Results information posted to you and on this website
