A very warm and friendly welcome awaits you from David and Mary Pendrill to their lovely home situated by the river in the beautiful wooded Edw Valley. Absorb the peace and tranquillity of the surrounding hills, the sound of the river running in front of the cottage and the unspoiled countryside.

The area is ideal for walking, cycling and bird watching, including red kites and buzzards. Herons are a regular sight slowly winging their way up river, and it is sometimes possible to see the brilliant blue flash of the kingfisher.

Whilst staying with us you can benefit from natural spring water that supplies the cottage; and for those wishing to explore the surroundings by bike we have a secure padlocked outhouse available for storage.

SURROUNDINGS

Our cottage is located in the spectacular countryside of the Wye Valley in Mid Wales. We are within easy reach of Builth Wells (5 miles) and so convenient for the Royal Welsh Show at Llanelwedd.

PLENTY TO SEE AND DO - AND ALL WITHIN EASY REACH

BUILTH WELLS GOLF CLUB: with the River Wye running through this nearby course.

HAY-ON-WYE: the town of books and the annual Literary Festival.

ELAN VALLEY: with its stunning dams set in spectacular scenery.

BRECON: seated below the beautiful Brecon Beacons; host of the Brecon Jazz Festival.

RIVER WYE: for those lovers of fly fishing.

ACCOMMODATION

Our accommodation includes one large double room complete with private facilities directly opposite. These consist of a separate bathroom and W/C. There is also a washbasin in the bedroom. The room is decorated to the highest standard and can be used as a family room with a double ‘put-u-up’ bed available if required. The view from the windows overlook the gardens to the rear and the valley beyond.

The room contains a TV and video player, for viewing videos only, plus a wide range of video cassettes. A complimentary hospitality tray and radio/alarm are also available in the room. Private access to the room is provided with your own back door key.

A single bedroom is also available and again is decorated to the highest standard. A single 'Z-bed' is available if required. There is a washbasin situated in the room and the bathroom and toilet are close by. This room has lovely views of the gardens and valley beyond. Private access is provided with your own back door key.

BREAKFAST & LOCAL RESTAURANTS

We serve a full cooked breakfast (with free range eggs from our own hens).   There is an excellent pub in the village with a separate restaurant (one mile away) or a choice of several other restaurants in the vicinity.
