Research By Robert Landy

Robert Landy is currently collecting research for his current book, "How we see God".

The Scope of the Book

This will be a book of pictures, stories and commentary that seeks some answeres to the question, "How do we see God?" These pictures and stories will be created by children, ages 4-10, from various countries and cultures around the world. The commentary will be provided by the author who is a life-long seeker of answers to the same question. The images discussed will be within a number of traditions: Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddist and others. Included will also be those children who come from homes where several faiths are practiced or no faiths at all are practiced.

Aside from the author, a number of professionals and parents from various countries who work in educational, artistic and therapeutic fields will interview the children to solicit their pictures and stories. The interviewers will ask the children to compete 4 tasks: drawing God in parts God's setting, making up a story based upon the drawing, playing the role of God, and playing the role of one who dialogues with God.

You would like to be an interviewer please request a pack from this web site. Robert Landy is very appreciative of your participation in this project. However, at best he will acknowledge your contribution in his book. If funds are available from the publisher he would be delighted to offer a honorarium for your efforts.

Robert Landy can also be contacted: mailto:robert.landy@nyu.edu

In addition to specific information about study progams, many of which I've already found in the UK and US, but none in Germany, I am also seeking personal stories about how dramatherapists came about preparing for their work, from what backgrounds, etc. And finally, what advice current dramatherapists would give those interested in entering the field, especially

I am so excited to see this website. I am attending a somewhat obscure university in North Texas and whenever I mention Dramatherapy most people smile and nod and say, "Interesting?!" How refreshing it is to have fellow comrades persuing both theatre and therapy. I also was wondering if there was any information about Dramatherapy being used, quite specifically, for adolescents with drug addictions? Are there any books or programs pertaining to this subject? Thank you so much!! Margaret-Ann

Hi! I have spent the last few months trying desperately to find any information on Dramatherapy. I finally came upon a Handbook of Dramatherapy. I have been looking into Psychodrama/Dramatherapy as a possible career. I have now decided that my enthusiasm and talents are directing me toward a course in Dramatherapy. I will be moving to England in April/May 1999. I would like to hear as much about the courses offered and the possible best place to start as a complete amateur. Thank you.
