OK; here we go.
Tox and Dolman, not content with playing in Perfectly Frank, the fabulous
Sinatra tribute, and Cat Scratch Fever, are also doing another trio thing. It's
called "Deuces Wild", and involves a chap (or should that be
"Cat"?) called Pete Hague from Blackpool.
Right now (16.12 hrs 28/04/01) we're on the Isle of Man, about to go to play at
the Viking Centre in Ramsey.
Last night we sailed from Liverpool on a fast craft that took 4.25 hrs, not 2.5
as promised. It smelled of sick and had screaming babies, but we're confident
that it'll be both swift and lovely on the way home.
Pete has just pulled me up for my use (or abuse) of the word
"lovely", consequently, if you spot it's overuse please e-mail me at
the earliest opportunity. |

This is the salt and pepper set on the
breakfast table.
Makes life worth living, doesn't it? |
Hey Pete, is that a mirror image?
"No way man, my other guitar is actually a Gretsch 6119" |
 |
| And so to the first gig..... |
 |
We're at The Viking Complex in Ramsey. Cat Scratch Fever have played there
before and had a damned good time then too. Tonight though, is the Deuces Wild
debut, and it's going to be great. We're all psyching ourselves up here - not
miserable at all...... |
| Ah! That's a bit more like it. See, once they get their
instruments in hand everything changes. Big happy smiles.... |
 |
|
 |
 |
| Now everybody's in the swing of things
|
|
| Unfortunately, Paul the promoter (that's him circled)
suffered a heart attackon the second day. He died, but until the last moment
was among friends and family, listening to music he loved. I think that if
you've got to go, that would be the way to do it. I know he'll be missed. |

Dave and Marie, with whom we stayed. They own the Harley and
the Elvis condiment sets.
Photos are from '68 and 2001. Ahhh! |
This is Benson,
the littlest lifeguard. |
