A group of dedicated lacemakers from the north west of England grouped together to celebrate the Millennium in lace.  It was decided on a modern creative project incorporating original designed lace mounted on compact disks. The project was exhibited virtually world-wide as a whole the our web site, and physically in  in local museums and art galleries.

Prizes were awarded for: the best piece of lace at the public displays, the best piece of lace featured in the virtual Galleries — as voted for by popular opinion; the best piece of lace made by a Young Lacemaker and the best rosette — as judged by the Committee.
