CD2000

Linking the World with Lace

CD2000 atTheMadeiraShow,
Harrogate, Oct 2000A group of dedicated lacemakers from the north west of England grouped together to celebrate the Millennium in lace.  It was decided on a modern creative project incorporating original designed lace mounted on compact disks. The project was exhibited virtually world-wide as a whole the our web site, and physically in  in local museums and art galleries.

Prizes were awarded for: the best piece of lace at the public displays, the best piece of lace featured in the virtual Galleries — as voted for by popular opinion; the best piece of lace made by a Young Lacemaker and the best rosette — as judged by the Committee.

For descriptions of some of the CD laces see the lace identification pages.
