If you want to avoid the hassle of packing your
bags and checking in and out of your Harare hotel. this excursion provides
a wonderful opportunity to view the magnificent spectacle of the Halls
and other sightseeing excursions in one day.
![]() TOUR ITINERARYThe tour starts with a visit to a unique reconstructed African village which shows the traditional way of life of Zimbabwe's six main ethnic groups. Have a chat with the resident herbalist to see what 'the bones' tell about your future and wander through the nearby African Crafts Centre and browse for unusual gifts and curios to take home. |
En route to the Falls, you will stop at the
impressive Big Tree a massive baobab, many hundreds of years old with a
girth of some 22 metres, before moving on to the Falls themselves, starting
at Livingstone's statue and the Devil's Cataract. Gaze in awe at the curtain
of falling water, while swirling spray billows up from the depths of the
109 metre chasm below. Walk the full length of the Falls with your guide
to Danger Point through the undisturbed Rain Forest (1.5kms). Careful conservation
has ensured the Falls today remain much as they were when Livingstone first
saw them. Keep a watch for the timid wild bushbuck which live in the undergrowth.
The falls are at peak volume around April, May and June and umbrellas and
raincoats are recommended, (for hire locally) particularly as protection
for cameras.
You will be taken to the river to board a pontoon which will cruise at a leisurely pace among the Zambezi River as you enjoy a buffet lunch and enjoy the scenery and opportunity to see hippos and crocodiles and any wildlife that can be seen on the banks of the river (lunch included/cash bar). |
|
| On disembarking from the Lunch Cruise, enjoy a fascinating
tour of the Crocodile Ranch at the Victoria Falls Nature Sanctuary where
your guide will reveal the life story of one of the most feared reptiles
in the world - from hatchlings a few centimetres long, which you will have
the opportunity to hold if you wish, to fully grown monsters weighing upwards
of 400kgs.
Refreshments are available prior to transferring back to the airport for the late afternoon flight to Harare where you are met and transferred back to your hotel. |
