Is 403 A voice of one calling: "In the desert prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God."	Math 33 Mk 13 Jn 123 This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: "A voice of one calling in the desert, Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him."
Gen 4910 The sceptre will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs and the obedience of the nations is his. Is 96,7 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.	Lk 132,33 He (Jesus) will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end.
Is 714 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.	Lk 135 Math 123 The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God." ... The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means, "God with us."
Is 403-5 A voice of one calling: "In the desert prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all mankind together will see it. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken."	Lk 33-6 He went into all the country around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. As is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet: "A voice of one calling in the desert, 'Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him. Lev 121-8 Exd 131,2 The Lord said to Moses, "Consecrate to me every firstborn male. The first offspring of every womb among the Israelites belongs to me, whether man or animal."	Lk 222 When the time of their purification according to the Law of Moses had been completed, Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord.
Is 426 I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles.	Lk 230-32 But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. A light for revelation to the Gentiles and for glory to your people Israel."
Is 814,15 And he will be a sanctuary; but for both houses of Israel he will be a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare. Many of them will stumble; they will fall and be broken, they will be snared and captured.	Lk 234 Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: "This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against."
Ps 11822,23 The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone; The Lord has done this, and it is marvellous in our eyes	Lu 209-16 Math 2142 Mk 1210 1 Pe 24 Act 411 Jesus looked directly at them and asked, "Then what is the meaning of that which is written: 'The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone'? Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed."
Hos 111 When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son.	Math 214,15 So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: "Out of Egypt I called my son."
Jer 3115 This is what the Lord says: "A voice is heard in Ramah, mourning and great weeping, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because her children are no more."	Math 216-18 When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under.
Is 533 He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.	Math 223 And he went and lived in a town called Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was said through the prophets: "He will be called a Nazarene." (i.e. poor and despised) Mk 1529-32 Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads and saying, ... Come down from the cross and save yourself!" In the same way the chief priests and the teachers of the law mocked him among themselves. "He saved others," they said, "but he can't save himself! Let this Christ, this King of Israel, come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe." Those crucified with him also heaped insults on him.
Gen 227,8,13,14 "The fire and wood are here," Isaac said, "but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?" Abraham answered, "God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son." ... Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide.	Jn 129,36 The next day saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, "Look, the Lamb of God!" Lu 2219,20 Rev 56 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you."
Is 91,2 Nevertheless, there will be no more gloom for those who were in distress. In the past he humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the future he will honour Galilee of the Gentiles, by way of the sea, along the Jordan - The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land on the shadow of death a light has dawned.	Math 415 Jn 815 95 Jesus went and lived in Capernaum, which was by the lake in the area of Zebulun and Naphtali - to fulfill what was said by the prophet Isaiah ... When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
Is 611,2 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, To proclaim the year of the Lord's favour and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn.	Lk 418-20 The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favour. Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.
Is 355,6 Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped. Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy. Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert.	Lk 722 So he replied to the messengers, "Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor."
Is 534 Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.	Math 817 This was to fulfil what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: "He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases."
Gen 222 Then God said, "Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering ...	Math 317 And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."
Gen 228,14 Abraham answered, "God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son." And the two of them went on together. ... So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided."	Jn 856 Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad. Heb 1012,14 But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God. ... Because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy
Ezek 3411-31 For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself will search for my sheep and look after them. As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after my sheep ... I will rescue them ... I will tend them in a good pasture ... I will bind up the injured ... I will make a covenant of peace with them ...	Jn 101-18 I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me ... He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out ... his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
Ps 10728,29 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed.	Math 826 He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
Mal 31 See, I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come," says the Lord Almighty.	Math 1110 Mk 12 Lk 727 This is the one about whom it is written: "I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you."
Deut 1817,18 The Lord said to me: "What they say is good. I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him."	Jn 334 828,29 For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit. ...  So Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am [the one I claim to be] and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me. The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him."
Is 421-4 Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him and he will bring justice to the nations. He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets. A bruised reed he will not break, and a smouldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice; He will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his law the islands will put their hope.	Math 317 175 A voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased." Math 1214-21 But the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill Jesus. Aware of this, Jesus withdrew from that place. Many followed him, and he healed all their sick, warning them not to tell who he was. This was to fulfil what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: ... Jn 530 Act 1731 Rev 1911 For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead."
Num 219 So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, he lived.	Jn 314 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life.
Ps 7822-38 For they did not believe in God or trust in his deliverance. Yet he gave a command ... He rained down manna for the people to eat, he gave them the grain of heaven. In spite of all this, they kept on sinning; in spite of his wonders, they did not believe ... they were not faithful to his covenant. Yet he was merciful; he forgave their iniquities and did not destroy them.	Jn 630-40 Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, it is not Moses who has given you bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world." ... I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry. ... everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life ...
Is 551 Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.	Jn 737 Rev 2217 On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. ... The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.
Jonah 117 But the Lord provided a great fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was inside the fish three days and three nights. (The wonder here is not that Jonah survived hes is time in the fish, but that after prayer he died and after 3days and nights God raised him from the dead.  This is clearly the sign that Jesus refers to.)	Math 1240 Lk 1130,32 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now one greater than Jonah is here. Lk 1129 Math 1238,39 As the crowds increased, Jesus said, "This is a wicked generation. It asks for a miraculous sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah. For as Jonah was a sign to the Ninevites, so also will the Son of Man be to this generation."
Is 69,10 Ps 782 He said, "Go and tell this people: 'Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving.' Make the heart of this people calloused; make their ears dull and close their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed." I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter hidden things, things from of old.	Lu 85-11 Math 1314 A farmer went out to sow his seed ... When he said this, he called out, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."   His disciples asked him what this parable meant. He said, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, 'though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.' "This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God..." Math 1334,35 Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable. So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet: ...
2 Ch 91-12 When the queen of Sheba heard of Solomon's fame, she came to Jerusalem to test him with hard questions. Arriving with a very great caravan ... she came to Solomon and talked with him about all she had on her mind.	Math 1242 Lk 1131 The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon's wisdom, and now one greater than Solomon is here.
Is 5413 All your sons will be taught by the Lord, and great will be your children's peace.	Jn 645 It is written in the Prophets: "They will all be taught by God." Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from him comes to me.
Is 2913 The Lord says: "These people come near to me with their mouth and honour me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men."	Math 157 You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: "These people honour me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men."
Is 567 Jer 711 These I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.	Lk 1946 Math 2113 Jn 216 "It is written," he said to them," 'My house will be a house of prayer'; but you have made it 'a den of robbers.'"
Dan 1211 From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days.	Mk 1314 Math 2415 When you see 'the abomination that causes desolation' standing where it does not belong, let the reader understand, then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
Dan 121 At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people--everyone whose name is found written in the book--will be delivered.	Mk 1319,20 Math 2422 Because those will be days of distress unequalled from the beginning, when God created the world, until now--and never to be equalled again. If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened them.
Is 1310 344 The stars of heaven and their constellations will not show their light. The rising sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light.	Mk 1324,25 Math 2429 But in those days, following that distress, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.
Gen 6,7 The Lord saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time. The Lord was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain ...	Lk 1726,27 Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.
Gen 1917 As soon as they had brought them out, one of them said, "Flee for your lives! Don't look back, and don't stop anywhere in the plain! Flee to the mountains or you will be swept away! ..."	Lk 1728,29,32 It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulphur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. Remember Lot's wife!
Dan 713,14 In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshipped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.	Mk 1326 Lk 2127 At that time men will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. Rev 211 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, ... Jn 1836 Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But now my kingdom is from another place."
Gen 37,21 Ruth 39 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves. ... The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. "Who are you?" Boaz asked. "I am your servant Ruth," she said. "Spread the corner of your garment over me, since you are a kinsman-redeemer."	Jn 1014,15 Math 2628 Is 6110 I am the good Shepherd ... I lay down my life for the sheep. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. He has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness.
Ps 321 Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.	Lu 748 Math 92 Then Jesus said to her, "Your sins are forgiven ... your faith has saved you; go in peace."
Ps 11826 Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. From the house of the Lord we bless you.	Math 219 Mk 119 Jn 1213 The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, "Hosanna to the Son of David!" "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Hosanna in the highest!"
