A last minute buy at a camera show this unusual viewer was presumably originally sold at Mont-St-Michel (The slides are from there). I would guess that many of these viewers exist and were sold accross France at the various tourist attractions. The slides are printed straight onto the glass in sepiatone, the viewer is made of cardboard with a glass plate at the rear. Focussing is achieved buy opening and closing the box itself.
