OMO Sputnik

Manufactured by OMO (Optical Mechanical Organization) in Leningrad from 1960 until the late 1980s the Sputnik is one of the few latter day medium format (120 Rollfilm) cameras that is still in use today. (When I say "in use" I mean that I know of at least two users over here in England).

The Sputnik takes six 2.1/4" * 2.1/4" stereo pairs. The lenses are f4.5, 75mm coated Tessar-formula three element (T-22) antistigmatics.

The camera was purchased at the 1998 Llandudno Stereoscopic Society Convention and came complete with viewer and a number of other interesting 'adapters' the use of which I have yet to discover..
