Terms and Conditions
It is assumed without further notice that you have read, understood and agreed to our terms and conditions of sale prior to your purchase of goods or services from Greyrigg Systems Scotland Limited.
All new computer hardware is subject to a 12 months Return To Base Warranty (parts and labour) unless otherwise stated. This warranty has exceptions which are described below. Any components replaced under warranty only have warranty cover up to the end date of the original component's cover. Exceptions which will result in invalidation of warranty - 1. Accessing of machine interior by customer or third party. 2. Any virus or corruption introduced from an external source, e.g. Internet, pirated software etc. 3. Damage caused to computer’s hard drive or any other component as a result of smoking in the vicinity. 4. Damage caused to any component as a result of the equipment being in an unsatisfactory environment e.g.. Dust, Smoke, Damp, Vapour etc. 5. Damage caused to computer’s hard drive or any other component through moving machine while it is switched on. 6. Malfunction caused by customer or third-party changing software / CMOS settings. This includes BIOS updates. 7. Any accidental damage, misuse or "Act of God". 8. Failure to honour any callout fee or payment due for any work done.
Additional Greyrigg Systems Scotland Limited shall not be held responsible for the loss of any data, loss of income or loss of profit due to a system or component malfunction. It is the responsibility of the customer to create and keep backups of any data or software. In the event of a repair being required on a computer system, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure a current and verified backup of that system has been made. Data is always the responsibility of the customer – ensure you always have a current and verified reliable backup. Software is not warranted by Greyrigg Systems Scotland Limited under any circumstances. Greyrigg Systems Scotland Limited may give support and/or advice on software/hardware but this is intended for guidance only and should not be relied on. Accurate and reliable advice can only be given by the software developers or hardware manufacturers directly. Software is supplied as is and with all faults, bugs and features. Greyrigg Systems Scotland Limited therefore recommends that you keep informed of issues and updates relating to your software by registering your purchase with the software developer. Should any components fail whilst under warranty, Greyrigg Systems Scotland Limited reserves the right to replace the components with components equivalent or greater in price or performance if exact replacements are unavailable. Any extra costs will be incurred by the customer. If applicable, please ensure that your purchase is compatible with your existing equipment as goods purchased in error are not refundable. Greyrigg Systems Scotland Limited may, at our discretion, exchange your unwanted goods for goods of the same or greater value. A handling fee and/or any extra costs will be incurred by the customer. Goods returned must be in original condition and complete with all, disks, manuals, packaging and other contents if applicable, along with the
original invoice. Failure to return goods in the original condition when purchased will result in refund or exchange being refused. Please note that a callout fee will be charged
for any instance that an engineer has to turn up on site when a fault has been
caused by anything other than a hardware malfunction deemed covered by this warranty.
Any work done by the engineer may also be chargeable.
