Present: Mike Hindley, Catherine Penhaul, Anthony Penhaul, Mark Pilcher, Maggie Whitehead

Matters Arising:
  • A response from CCC highways dept re the use of concrete kerbs at Treen has been received. Mike Hindley will contact planners re this.
  • A letter of resignation has been received from the clerk Maggie Whitehead
  • A letter of thanks will be sent to Hetty Whitelock further to her resignation at the last meeting.
  • Audit paperwork for 2004 / 2005 is still with the internal auditor.
  • Catherine Penhaul will contact Alec Brice / Ray Tovey re the St Ives MCTI
Planning:
  • Plans for the roof and porch at Wicca have been approved.
  • Plans for both the security lights and the mast at Higher Kerrowe farm have been refused. Nothing further has currently been heard from MM02
Finance:
  • The bank balance currently stands at £2513.10
  • The latest Parish Paths payment has been received.
  • A remittance for the Precept has been received
  • The Audit of accounts for 2003 / 2004 has been approved with no comments.
  • Cheques were approved for:-
    Audit Fee
    Clerks fees
    Parish Path fees
    Web site invoice

Parish Paths
  • Jon Swannell reports all well - there is some budget remaining for autumn work.
  • A parishioner has requested whether 'Right to Roam' areas could be included on the new map boards. Councillors thought this would confuse matters at present but could be considered in the future.
Transport:
  • A questionnaire regarding a Local Area Agreement has been completed and returned by Jenni Pozzi. There will be further consultation on this in the future.
Correspondence:
Various items of correspondence were considered including:
  • A consultation from BT re changing to a cashless phone. Councillors would prefer it to remain as at present. Mike Hindley to respond.
  • Information on Mayors Parlour Campaign to be displayed.
  • Christmas Tree order. John Lindfield to deal.
  • Donation request re Newlyn Memorial to fisherman - to be discussed at the next meeting.
  • CROW Act - Press release to be displayed.
  • Neighbourhood police contact details - Mike Hindley to hold.
  • Over 50's Leisure week posters to be displayed.
Meetings:
Next meeting of ZPC - 11th October 2005
 
Any Other Business:
  • J Swannell will investigate concerns re Himalayan Balsam.
  • Map Boards - An order has not yet been raised to Colin Fearon - M Whitehead to raise and e-mail. The granite has been delivered to Zennor but concerns have been raised re the height. A Penhaul to investigate possibility of lowering by 6-12 inches and the costs. J Brookes to contact ESA re Zennor.
  • Councillor vacancy. An application has been received from Raven Lafey. As only four councillors were present it was agreed to consider this at the next meeting
