Matters Arising
- Yew Tree: Rowena Swallow to be asked about its whereabouts
- Village Hall – application sent to National Lottery
- Draw ticket: still unclaimed – prize to be returned to re-cycling prize fund for future project.
- Undergrounding – M.Hindley offered to complete mapping of lines
- Community Grant – decision to be made mid January
- Fingerpost – to be regularly chased up
Planning Carnelloe House – advertised 5th Jan to be discussed next meeting unless deemed urgent by Penwith or S.Gardner
Parish Plan J.Gray ready to commence as soon as funding received
Finance Balance at bank £3302.92 no transactions this month.
Invoices received: Parish Notice Boards: £193.98, Parish Pump: £77.94, payment agreed. Jon Swannell was requested to make annual inspection of the boxes to ensure regular maintenance as required.
Transport report submitted on behalf of J Pozzi....
- Our application for a grant from the Rural Transport Partnership has been successful. .
- I will attend the Lands End Transport quarterly meeting on Wednesday. If there are transport issues anyone would like me to raise at the meeting, please ‘e’ me the substance of the query/topic, or give me a call.
Grant must be spent by 31st March. A.Penhaul will go ahead with printing and purchase of dispensers. Signed acceptance form will to be returned to T.Andrewes.
Local Govt. Reorganization Response to PDC Proposal was discussed. It was felt that the consultation period was too short to allow comment to be made. Concerns raised over future role of PCs whichever model is adopted. Council wish to be kept in touch with future developments.

Any Other Business
- PC Perkin advised that due to restructuring of Neighbourhood Beat Managers his area of responsibility had increased but that he hoped to have two assistants in due course. He asked if there were any problems that council were aware of and advised that incidents of sheep worrying were being investigated. He was advised of one incident of fly-tipping.
- Cattle Grids – Carn Galva: J.Brookes presented details of the National Trust’s proposals to enable conservation grazing. With map and diagrams of locations. He confirmed that there will be no need to close the road for building(anticipated for Sept 2007), that the £37,000 will be met from European Heath Project Funds and that local residents will be sent full copies of the plans. Councillors were concerned at the number of signs required. They would prefer local granite hedges to proposed post and rail fencing and request that reflective material be kept to a minimum. They will canvas opinion and report back.
