7603/1, 7602/2, 7603/3, 7673/1, 7690/1, 7690/2, 7673/2, 7703/1, 7703/2

Ten requisitions during these middle war years, although a large proportion were for single or a couple of duties.

The 7603 requisition had three parts to it. The initial /1 included quantities for dealers, and asked for nine duties. The sheets of stamps were to printed numbered 1 up each duty. All the items were required for despatch as soon as possible and needed to reach Cyprus before 30.6.42. Five of the duties included part sheets.

Part 2 due on 21.5.42 was again for that well used £1 value and was urgently required and to be numbered 1 up. Not content with the Part 2 order a Part 3 requisition also asked for a number of £1 values to be numbered 1 up.

7673/1 was for a single duty, the 2d, and included 120,000 for dealers and to be numbered 1 up.

Following on the 7690/1 asked for two duties, the 1/2pi and 1pi. The requisition was urgently required and priority had to be given to the 1pi. The first delivery of 2,500,000 for this value had to be despatched by parcel Post ASAP. Dealers were to be given 500,000 for the 1/2pi and 60,000 of the 1pi. There was a part 2 7690 which asked for the 1/4pi, 11/2pi and 3pi. Dealers were to be allocated 500,000 for the 1/4pi, 120,000 for the 11/2pi and 120,000 for the 3pi. Priority was to be given to the 11/2pi with an initial 240,000 to go by Parcel Post. Included in the order was the following instruction:-

"The 11/2pi stamps are not to be placed on sale until the first printing in the violet colour under 7552 has been released locally"

7673/1 of 1943 was a single value, the 2pi and was urgently required.

7703/1, again for the 2pi was urgently required, and numbering was not required. It was to be delivered by the end of March 1943. Part 2 of this order asked for six duties with 210,000 of the 1/4pi going to dealers. Numbering was not required.

Thus concluded a busy two year period.
