Cyprus 1938-1952
8398/1 was a fragmented requisition which dates over a three month period. The duties, numbered 1 up each duty, were to reach Cyprus no later than June. In the event they actually completed their delivery at the end of July. The Bureau provided the initial stocks which were to be replaced when printed. These figures are recorded below.
8942/1, three values 2pi, 3pi and £1, from July 1947 had orders that nil were for the Bureau but the residue of the stock was to be exchanged in due course. These were a Colony requirement and to be numbered 1 up each duty. Delivery was required in Cyprus by September 1947
8618/1 dated early 1948 was a substantial reprint. The Bureau required 9,000 of the 18pi and 3,000 of the 90pi.
Following on in 1948 was the 8753/1 order which was also a Colony supply to be numbered 1 up each duty. The duties were to be delivered in Cyprus before October 1948. The 6pi and 9pi had 6,000 stamps for the Bureau. Exchange required 123,000 of the 1/2pi, 44,000 of the 1pi, 15,000 of the 6pi, 12,000 of the 9pi, 19,000 of the 45pi and 7,000 of the £1
