Cyprus 1938-1952
1951 started off with a rather an usual requisition, 9741/1, which was for three values the 2pi, 3pi, and 9pi, but each value had two parts to it. Dating from the early part of the year each value had an initial delivery in October 1950. All the values had quantities allocated to the Bureau and Exchange, the others being number 1 up each case. The lower values were to collected from the Bureau and despatched to the colony by parcel post.
9830/1 was again for three values, but each was of significance. The 1/2pi was the new violet colour which replaced the green colour, the 11/2pi reversed this with green replacing violet and the 4pi was a totally new value. These changes would be to conform to UPU requirements. Presumably there would have been specimens, but these are not recorded although 130,000 of the 1/2pi, 90,000 of the 11/2pi and 90,000 of the 4pi were allocated to the Bureau. With the exception of the Bureau stamps the duties were to be numbered 1 up each case.

The 11/2pi colour change from the 9830/1 requisition
9968/1 is actually two requisitions with the same number. The first part was virtually a complete reprint. The comments noted that the Bureau supplies were additional to those ordered on 9830/1. With the exception of Bureau stamps the sheets were to be numbered 1 up each duty. The second part of the order was for the 6pi and £1 duties. Again the figures are split into two for each value, with the top to be collected from the Bureau and despatched immediately, and the bottom to be despatched from printing ASAP. Each was to be numbered 1 up each duty.
245/1 of 1951 was just for the 3pi and was to be collected from the Bureau and despatched immediately. This represented the balance of 3pi stamps at the Bureau and were to be numbered 1 up.
1952 started with 333/1 for the 6pi, 9pi and £1, to be numbered 1 up. Proceeding this in the middle of the year was a virtual reprint 396/1 which was a huge order. For example the 1pi alone had over 3,000,000 stamps printed from nearly 50,000 sheets. These were to be numbered 1 up each duty the 18pi was a particularly urgent order and had a certain allocation for immediate collection and despatch from the Bureau.
The final 1952 requisition was 396/4 for the 90pi and £1. 6,000 of each were sent to the Bureau and 12,000 (90pi) and 8,000 (£1) to the Exchange. With the exception of the Bureau stamps they were to be numbered 1 up
