About Me

I started collecting when I was about ten when I found my dad's collection and was fascinated in particular by the recess printed stamps from the reign of George VI.

From this I collected general George VI until the 1970s when, as in common with many others, I became interested in other things. I took up the hobby again about six or seven years ago trying to collect one of each until I started to specialize more.

The area which fascinates me the most is the first George VI Waterlow printings, such as St Helena, Nyasaland, Basutoland etc.

I live in West Yorkshire in England and from my study window I can see across the valley which holds the former woollen city of Bradford.

Other hobbies are watching the Bradford Bulls Rugby League team and playing the flute.

For my sins I am a teacher, but I keep that one quiet in this country!
