St Helena Inverted "c" Slug

I have indentified 5 different Postmarks from the GVI Definitives, which are illustrated in my "The St Helena George VI Definitives" published this year.

  • The different types are:
  • Type 1 and 3 with T in St Helena underlined using 'A' and 'C' slugs.
  • Type 2 with T in St Helena not underlined using 'C' slug
  • Type 4 "Briers" CDS
  • Type 5 June 1946 CDS with constricted 6 in 1946.

There are also the Madame Joseph Forged CDS.

At the York 2000 Stamp Fair I came across the item below which shows the 'C' slug reversed. This is part of a Type 2 CDS therefore it must have occured sometime after 1948.
