Glossary of Terms CASED GLASS a manufacturing technique where a glass vessel is made from one colour of glass, usually clear, then coated with a thin layer of another colour while still hot. DRILL engraving using a variable speed craft drill and diamond coated burs (drill bits) FUSING heating glass in a kiln until the separate pieces stick together to form a single piece INTAGLIO an engraving technique where a 3D image is cut into the glass SANDBLAST surface engraving using high pressure grit to abrade the glass surface SLUMPING placing glass over a mould and heating it in a kiln until it becomes soft enough to fall into or over the mould and take its shape.
