There are as many issues as there are individuals; these are just a few areas in which counselling can help:

Mental health issues.

Alcohol and/or drug related problems.

Domestic violence.

Anger.

Physical, emotional and sexual abuse.

Phobias.

Low self esteem.

Self harm.

Anxiety and negative thoughts.

Depression.

Planning for change.

Loss: bereavement, separation, divorce.

Looking for direction.

Dealing with the past in order to create a positive future.

Eating disorders.

Relationship difficulties.

Each client has unique experiences and strengths.

Everyone can learn to change and grow in positive ways.

As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy I adhere to their ethical framework.

This framework is designed to safeguard the best interests of both client and counsellor.

My training as an Integrative Counsellor enables me to draw on insights and techniques from different mainstream therapies - particularly person centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy.
This helps me respond flexibly to each client's way of thinking, feeling and behaving, and offer them the therapeutic style which suits them best.
