Man’s time on this earth plane when man-made government is to continue to rule the world is over. So asserts the Universal Ruler of the year 2000. The owner of everything in heaven and on the earth beneath is around here on earth in human form. This is the latest world mysteries of our time and it is apparently incredible.

A number of prophecies throughout the Bible passages - beginning with the ones made by Christ himself - are there in loud confirmation. Some of these prophecies are either already fulfilled or are now being fulfilled or will soon be fulfilled. This chapter attempts to record some 16 of such prophecies that tell in no uncertain term, that our Lord is back to us on earth.

Fall of Jerusalem And Its Temple Sign

"And Jesus said unto them, see ye all these things, verily I say unto you, there shall not be left here (temple in Jerusalem) one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down." (Matthew 24:2).

Forty years after this prediction, around A.D. 70, this prophecy came fulfilled; the armies of General Titus descended upon the city, Jerusalem, and after about four months’ seige, got it routed and the temple itself destroyed beyond repair. Not one of the huge stones that made up the temple is traceble on the site today. The Jews were all forced to exile. Until the times of the Gentiles (people of the world except the Jews) have run their course, that is to say, ended, they won’t or did not return.

"And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes." (Matthew 24:7)

In chapter 4, we saw how this prediction came fulfilled in the singular war of Serbia versus Austria (1914 - 1918). The souls that perished in the actual fighting itself were in millions; those that died from the consequent life-destroying diseases and famines and influenza-epidemic approached the staggering billion mark.

The influenza-epidemic itself got to its greatest devastating height in 1918. That was the year, Olumba Olumba Obu, the Sole Spiritual Head of the Universe saw first light of this earth as a baby. From this year onwards, the earthquakes that the world had witnessed had continued year after year to increase in both the complex nature and magnitude of devastation and also in souls lost. All this is because the Judge of the world has been born and the end, therefore, is come upon mankind of the present generation.

"Behold the days come, said the Lord, the city shall be built to the Lord from the Tower of Hana-neel unto the gate of the corner.And ..nor thrown down any more forever". (Jeremiah 31:38-40)

"When the Lord shall build up Zion, He shall appear in His glory."

After the fall of Jerusalem at the hands of Titus, the city was tried to be rebuilt at various times, only to suffer again and again under a similar fate in the hands of the Romans, Arabs and even Turks. It was General Allenby who in 1917, took it and made it a homeland for the Jews. Recently Jerusalem has become the capital of the new nation of the Jews. The former Arab section of this city, inside the old walls was completely occupied. Consequently the Jews were forced to build for themselves to the north of the old city. Here fine and modern buildings for the Jews have sprung up since May 1948 particularly. Thus the lines of the city approach exactly the prediction of Jeremiah some 2500 years before. The times of the Gentiles having run their course, the Jews are back home though still in unbelief.

The Psalmist echoed that the Lord will appear during the process of this rebuilding. In other words, the Lord is already here with us and yet some know not of it.

"While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at mid-night there was a cry made, Behold the bridegroom; go ye out to meet him." (Matthew 25:5-6).

In this parable of the five wise and five foolish virgins, we see Jesus representing the Bridegroom; some sections of the Christian churches representing five foolish virgins and the rest - other five, the wise ones. We find out that the Bridegroom arrived in the night, infact mid-night, and not in the day so that among other restraints, all eyes might not see Him. In this parable, the mid-night hour became prophetically important. The chief prefers night, near mid-night for his operations.

There was recorded also very strange coincidence of historic timing related to the close of the World War1. There was nothing in support of its happening by any shred of intention. It is, that World War 1 ended at eleven o’clock in the morning of November 1918, the year Olumba Olumba Obu was born, and this was ‘the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month and exactly 11 months after General Allenby entered Jerusalem on the 11th day of December 1917’. (Eleven-eleven ...)

Wonderful! Isn’t it? Can anyone say this chain of coincidences took place by mere accident? Or was it not providential?

Our Lord Jesus Christ, speaking of Himself, said that the bridegroom of the christendom and the entire world at large, had returned at the mid-night hours. The chief is already with us. Let us cease, therefore, looking at the dark clouds to see anyone falling down from there. ‘Behold the Bridegroom, Olumba Olumba Obu of the Universe, go ye out to meet Him.’ Now is the time of grace. The door is not shut against you. Thanks be to God.

"Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl ... ye have heaped treasure together for the last days, Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is, of you kept back by fraud, crieth, and the cries of them which have reap are entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabbath. Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth; behold the judge standeth before the door." (James 5:1-9)

The conflict between capital and labour, that is, the rich grinding the poor, has continued ever since until this day. And this is a little known, yet valid sign of our Lord’s return to earth to terminate the struggle; for it could not go on forever. Strikes upon strikes had followed attemps of workers to get fair daily wage deal from their employers, to no avail. Powerful labour leaders have come up in union fights for the same ends and there is no solution in sight. Judgement has to come upon them all and the judge is here to execute the judgement upon these rich and callous men who see no end to getting rich quicker; they amass and amass and spend the surplus in cocktail parties, high-funeral rites, useless increase of new wives and concubines; endless quest for building new houses and new plots and so on rather than pay their workers a fair wage.

Two seemingly opposing prophecies are expressed in this sign juxtaposition.

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the later time, some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron". (1 Timothy 4:1-2)

For the present generation of men and women, like the past ones, the future has always held a strange fascination. People today as always, are anxious for a better tomorrow. In the days of old, astrology and horoscope reading were born for this same reason. Today, fortune telling, witches, palm reading, sorcery star and crystal gazing, occultism freemasonry, Rosicrusianism, Ogboni, Oboli, Ekpe are rampant even among christians and this signals the end of all things typefied by the fulfilment of these words in 1st Timothy.

Simultaneously, the spirit of the Lord of all creation, poured out on the first apostles, are now more active and more wide spread on earth than ever before. Apostle Peter confirmed that their own speaking in tongues owing to the out-pouring was the first fulfilment of the prophecy of Joel. The greater fulfilment would take place in the last days , at the very close of the age, which is today and now. New churches and denominations are now prolific. They put forth propositions that they are the true church and villifying others. In nearly all of them, miracle working wonders are performed. Visions and prophecies and dreams take a new look or new turn among the sons and daughters even of the adherents and among their old men and young men. Everywhere, everybody seems to move about religiously as if to say to themselves: ‘Phew! Today alone is for us here on earth, tomorrow we dash off for heaven.’ Yet there are other groups busy propounding and re-emphasizing the evolution theory of man. All these are none, but the false religions of the end of time originating from seducing spirits of devils. Their existence thus heralds nothing except the end of the age - the old order has already changed (not is changing) yielding place to the new and the final.

"I was in the spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last; and what thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches .. Ephesus ... Smyra, ... Pergemos ... Thyatira ... Sardis ... Philadelphia ... and Laodicea".

To the Laodicean church it said -

"I know thy works that thou art neither cold nor hot .. so then because thou art lukewarm, ...I will spue thee out of my mouth." (Rev.3:15-16)

Our Lord Jesus Christ ascended into heaven some two thousand years ago and promised to return to the earth very soon. The book Revelation indicated that, between the time He left in ascension and the time He would reappear on earth in glory is a period known through the centruries as the church age. The church - the people of God - was to go through seven distinct phases, each with its own characteristics. The last phase of this age is the church of Laodicea with its lukewarm charateristics - being neither cold nor warm. This church is the worldly apostate type of christians which have lost their initial vision of God’s purpose for them and are in danger of judgement at the end of the age.

In this present day of apparent great church revival, one would have expected this group of christians, this church, to have grown more spiritual than ever before. Rather its growth is seen to be merely in riches and wealth of the world with a feeling that it has need for nothing else. Instead of using this wealth for greater God’s works! and perhaps the sacrifice of God’s people, they rather engage in lavish living and extravagance and become so gross in other worldly which has become to them a curse. Since they at last lost the vision of the gospel, they finally lost also their souls.

Looking at our examining properly the life pattern of many of the present day churches, one can easily deduce that we are truely in the time of the Loadicean church, the last church of the present age.

The loving Father revealed also to John that there would exist at the same time another church - Brotherhood - the Philadelphian type. This will have brotherly love and represents God’s faithful people on earth referred to in Hebrew 9:28 - those waiting sincerely for the coming Lord to whom He would appear at His second coming without sin.

This church will not mistake Him and His arrival.

To them is the promise:

"Because thou has kept the word of my patience, I will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown" (Revelation 3:10-11).

This prophecy is simply plain. Throughout the 120 years Noah spent constructing his ark and preaching to his world for repentance, there was found none wanting to effect change desired. Rather they more seriously expressed their insistent and greater indulgence in mundane drinking and marriage parties and other sensual frivolities. As they paid no heed at all to Noah’s preaching till the end, the flood predicted to drown them all came and destroyed them all.

Today, the same trumpet of gospel-preaching is sounding again. That call for true repentance from all, is going on loudly, ceaselessly and is clear. Yet the number of the world people found with the hearing ear and the understanding heart to make the most of this fine chance is so poor. Drinking and building drinking houses; eating and erecting hotels are going on with other merry-making festivities. Need any christian ask, why is it so? Every one of them should know the answer. It is a sign of the end of things and the re-appearing of the son of man on earth to rule.

"This, know also that in the last days, perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves ... blaphemers, disobedient to parents ... without natural affections, truce breakers ... from such, turn away." (2 Timothy 3:1-5)

It does not require a diviner to tell any one that something is wrong with today’s youths who take so much relish in revoluting against any constituted authority beginning from the home where they are born and bred to anywhere else. Today’s radio, television and newspapers are getting tired with reporting crimes of boys and girls such as were committed by only hardened criminals some years ago. Gangs of reckless youths prowl our big cities and hamlets robbing with or without arms, looting and committing crimes of violence. Law enforcement authorities are now impotent in handling their problems satisfactorily in many cases.

What is the cause of all these? Worldliness of parents have forced their children to a rebelious attitude resulting in high propensity to crimes in these children. Many of these children are from broken homes, and others are products of fornication and adultery. Such children cannot be except to grow up bitter and with ‘I don’t care’ attitude for anything.

Even children of godly parents are not totally exempted from all these. Most of them have become drawn up into it through bad examples. When they observe the type of un- supervised freedom which worldly parents grant their children, they feel at a loss to know why they themselves do not deserve similar privileges.

Consequently some of them rebel, then join the other group so get infected with the spirit of recklessness which Apostle Paul predicted some nineteen hundred years ago. All this signify one thing: the end of everything is here with us - not far away at all.

"...there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and , saying, where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation." (2 Peter 3:3-4)

This is one of the few passages in the Bible which satan uses nearly effectively to unsettle many christians. A lot of them tend to agree easily with these scoffers. Infact, a good portion of this class are made up of religious leaders themselves. They scoff at the teaching of the second coming of our Lord; and the true christians who believe and hold strongly to this teaching are looked down upon as deluded fanatics.

Those who find reason to deny the truth of the fact of the second coming of Christ do so because the doctrine proves offensive to the pride of their unregenerated mind. Prominent among this group of ‘scoffers’ are the modernist section of the church. They consider pessimistic to believe that there will be any judgement at all or that this age will end in judgement. According to them, there is no place for a supernatural coming of Christ or divine intervention in world events. They believe that the human man is steadily and surely making this world better and better and that it will only be a matter of time he will create his own heaven, man’s own type, here on earth. What honour or service which this group pretends to pay to Christ has been lip one only.

The point of joy here is that these scoffers do not know that in their attempt to behave in this way, they do merely fulfill the prophecy that the end is come upon all flesh according to Apostle Peter.

‘The chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of His preparation ... the chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall jostle one against another in the broadways; they shall seem like torches, they shall run like lightning.’ (Nahum 2:3-4).

This is one of the most prophetic visions in the Bible. ‘At the time that Prophet Nahum wrote this, the slow coach drawn by hosrse was the chief and fastest means of travel on land. Is it not wonderful then that Nahum’s vision could so lucidly allude obviously to the brilliant headlights of today’s motor vehicles? ‘Raging’ in the streets is so apt in describing the traffic roars down the numerous giant free-ways and exprees ways of cities and towns. When we speed ahead at night through the arteries of these roads, do not our vehicle lights seem ‘like torches’ as they ‘run like lightning?

The vision emphatically stated that the automobile invention will take place ‘in the day of His preparation’. The time since car was invented till now is so long that by now "His preparation" exercise should be over; the owner of the vineyard has accordingly arrived and might have started another preparation - that of rapturing the church before the establishment of His eternal kingdom promised His elects.

"But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased". (Daniel 12:4)

This prophecy emphasizes the existence of two conditions to signify the time of the second coming of Christ. First, many people will be running "to and fro", that is to say, men will like to travel more than ever before. The urge to move about or the need for it will be great.

The possibility of such fast movement pre-supposes the existence of the means to do so.

When travelling about was mainly on carriages drawn by horses, there was no car, no telephone, no electricity, no radio, no television and so no impetus for free movement of people from one distant to another. Our Lord Jesus Christ did not see or use automobile or the airplane. There were later products of the spirit of industrial revolution.

The second condition was that there would be an unprecendented increase in human knowledge. In fact this should and did precede fast travelling upon the earth. It was because knowledge increased that eventually we had the invention of the automobile and airplanes that helped make fast travelling - the running "to and fro" - possible.

All these were to happen in "the time of the end". Today man can and does go round the globe in a matter of minutes. Out of space travels to the moon and other distant planets are now common place incidents. This was made more possible by man’s ability to harness the atom discovered to the world in the atomic cataclysm at Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan - a discovery apparently to end all discoveries. Thus, the increase in knowledge, the new trend in air and other fast travels described here are all prophetic in significance. It is a sign of the end of time and the end of the world.

"Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and looking after those thingss which are

".... He maketh fire to come down from heaven on earth in the sight of men".

"....For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be". (Matthew 24:21).

Biblical experts had translated the "heavens" in the sentence - the power of the heavens shall be shaken" - from the Greek word - Uoranos, corrupted or improved from the mineral - uranium. Uranium is the element from which the atomic bomb is made.

To get the prediction of Revelation 13:13 prophetically fulfilled, recast the sentence as follows to see its apt appropriateness. "He (the beast) maketh fire to come down from uoranos (uranium) in the sight of men". This was power of the atomic bomb. When this power was tested in Hiroshima, men’s heart truly failed them for fear as "the powers of the heavens were shaken". More lives were allegedly lost in the holocaust in that fraction of a second than the losses put together of a number of the largest of wars of history.

People felt that the powers of destruction which have reached their absuolute limit have at last come to the possession of man and woe worth man accordingly. That was the terror of the atomic bomb.

But it did not take long when came the announcement of the H-bomb which has no limit to its potential power to destroy. It is said that a tiny H-bomb exploding can destroy all things within the radius of 10 miles. It is unfortunate this ‘sword’, like the one of Damacles, that is now dangling precariously over the head of the world of today. The horrible spectre of race suicide appears in sight from this, just soon, except God intervenes.

All these can point to but one fact - Christ is already in the world and He alone can halt the fearful plan of Russia and America to test the H-bomb on mankind under one provocation pretext or the other.

"And at that time ... there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there a nation. .... The wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand". (Daniel 12:1, 10)

"For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days shall be shortened, there should no flesh be saved; but for the elects’ sake those days shall be shortened". (Matthew 24:21-22)

The above prediction can only come to pass if the use of the modern invention of H-bomb was made to the full and also wide-spread. It is believed that both America and Russia are all poised to do just that. That they have not carried out this threat yet means that Christ is back on earth and He alone has halted, for the elects’ sake, their attempt at trying this evil upon the world.

Before the invention of the atomic and H-bombs, this prophecy appeared quite impossible of fulfilment. People had reasoned that all the known wars of history did take but a negligible quantity of world population in deaths. World War II itself did not do much in this feared reduction. How then was this statement of Christ to be fulfilled; scoffers jeered and pointed to these words of Christ as sure proof of his error of utterance and to the Bible as an uninspired treaties.

However, the horrors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki from the atomic bomb blast soon put fear in men about the possibility of this happening. When on 20 August, 1953, Russia exploded her H-bomb, this fear got added depth. This H-bomb is credited with having a thousand times the power of the old atomic bombs of Hiroshima. It is said it can destroy everything within the radius of ten miles or more. We, therefore, can see that the atomic and the H-bombs posses between themselves potential power of destroying our largest cities in a matter of minutes.

Thus, the invention of these two types of bombs with their frightful potential power to destroy massively certainly foretells, that the Holy One, long expected, has arrived here on earth in flesh and blood.

"And the gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world as a witness unto all nations and then shall the end come."(Matthew 24:14)

For the sake of the preliminary role of Christ describes in chapter 6 in this book, on which role He must execute and complete before the post-rapture of the church, Christ must be in the world in flesh and blood before the wide-spread-world evangelization itself reaches fever pitch.

Today we observe an unprecedented tidal wave of religious rising, producing groups with a climate of such teachings as tend to rock the very foundation of the christian world edifice. This is coupled with an attempt at ecumenism - a kind of artificial coming together of the world existing religious bodies or organisations.

One American Pastor has this to say in 1972:

"After studying Bible prophecy, the Bible clearly foretells that during the tribulation period, there will be one vast religious system - all others will be amalgamated into it. Naturally, such a thing as religious unity cannot take place overnight. It therefore must begin prior the tribulation period.

Actually there are evidences that this is happening now, but it is not doing so on the lines of this kind of thinking. A mere lumping together of various church bodies with their diverse ancillary doctrines, their different ideologies, their ‘dos’ and ‘don’ts’ will not produce a beautiful fusing-together that will give birth to a natural oneness on love, a true unity of one body, one baptism, one hope of everlasting life under one physical and visible shepherd. Ordinary sporadic ecumenical conferences can’t bring this about either. Christ Jesus must come down physically to separate His sheep from the goats thus collecting all the sheep into the one fold of our dream.

It is emphasized that this is part of the first phase of the role of Christ after "stealing in" on earth like a "theif". It is believed that this process is already going on now in the world with the Sole Spiritual Head as the King and Leader. That "group" prophesied long ago by Apostle Peter is Brotherhood of the Cross and Star.

"Honour all men, love thy Brother, Fear God , Honour the King". (1 Peter 2:17)

"... and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven" (Luke 21:11)

Our modern scientists of repute are still feeling greatly worried about and, infact, so afraid of certain discoveries of strange and fast moving objects in the heavens which they are making nowadays. They have not found a proper explanation of what they have (for want of a better name) termed "flying saucers" or UFO (unidentified flying objects).

These objects have been examined with our powerful telescopes to discover that they are in every distinctly different from any aircraft created by the inhabitant of this earth. The speed of movement is also incredibly far ahead of any known object to anyone on our planet. So many attempts have been made to solve the mystery of these "flying saucers", but to no avail. We therefore, take it that they are of supernatural origin and of prophetic significance. They fulfil the prophecy of Christ’s eschatological discourse lodged in the Bible passage of Luke 21:11 " ...and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven."
