Dear Don, The photos and the other things arrived yesterday, all this for £10 it must be the bargain of the year, I don't know how you can do it but I'm very pleased and very grateful. The photos of the Princess are excellent, she was a pretty little ship so aptly named. They must have been master illusionists to make her look like the Ajax which seems to have been a Dreadnought type battleship of approx 23,000 tons. Vin vin.grant@virgin.net

I know people are often asking about obtaining pictures of the ships that their BHC sailed to Canada on. I found this truly wonderful ite with a truly wonderful service www.shiphistory.co.uk It is called Passenger Ship History Service, run by Don Hazeldine. For a fee of £10, Don will send you whatever pictures he has of the ship (and he has many), plus its history. Not only that, I was interested in two ships, the SS Canada and the SS Empress of Britain, and I was only charged for a single search of £10 total, rather than £10 each! The service is fast. I was e-mailed the pictures and histories the same day in a few hours, in fact) and was sent three pictures of each ship. I was impressed! Gail Smith

Hi Don: Thanks for the great pictures. My great-great grandmother sailed on the Brussels with 11 children in 1872. They were originally from Alderney, but picked up the boat in Liverpool for passage to the US. They eventually had a total of 18 children so we have lots of cousins.
