Before we start I would like to point out that these pages are under construction (and probably will be for the next decade). In addition, they are written by someone who is more at home with an Etch-A-Sketch. So please be gentle with me.

Well, I'm sure you want to know what you've let yourself in for by coming to this site. Before you start to panic, I'll tell you straight away, there are no photos of me so take a couple of seconds to breathe a huge sigh of relief.

What there is, however, are some links to some of my favourite things and also.....errrr.....a page written by my cat Trotsky who wouldn't give me any peace until he was allowed a little space of his own.

Mr and Mrs SmithScrewball

The history of screwball comedy, the great screwball stars and supporting characters, reviews of screwball movies, the memorable lines and LOADS of photos.

If you're a fan of screwball comedy look no further!

Adverts

Magazine ads from the 30s, 40s and 50s which I discovered in my old movie magazines, and which are too funny not to see the light of day!

Trotsky's Page

He tells me this is THE page for cool cats

Books

Links to pages about some of the authors I devour on a regular basis including John Baker, Janet Evanovich, Joan Hess, Joe Lansdale, Bill Fitzhugh and Stuart Pawson

Music

Let me take you back to the late 1970's when hair was spikey and clothes were held together with safety pins. Oh, there's a pretty scary jukebox here too

Letter to my Mother

Well, that should save me the price of a stamp every week shouldn't it? This page will be updated weekly. (Well, I've been saying that for months now and there's still only one there!) Names have been changed to protect the guilty. If you think you recognise yourself on it, you probably do.

I would love to hear from you so please e-mail me!
