Donna, Alex and Matt outside Cary's house.

Cary's primary school - Bishop Road Infant
School. Our guide David is trying to knock-up (errrrr... for
our American viewers, maybe I'd better say 'get the
attention of') the caretaker. He couldn't do so, so we
sneaked in the back entrance anyway.
|
Fairfield Secondary School. The blue plaque says
"CARY GRANT - Archibald Leach - The Great Hollywood Star
-was a pupil here 1915 - 1918"
|
Inside the grounds of Fairfield School. The
gentleman in the yellow shirt who can just be seen inside
the doorway was the extremely nice man who gave us a tour of
the school, a lot of which is exactly as it would have been
in Cary's day (well, the desks are a bit different, and I'm
sure they didn't have computers then, but the building's the
same)
|
Friday night's cocktail party. Cheryl, Helen and
Debby have all partaken of such delights as the Cary Grant
(vodka, Tia Maria, lime juice - mmmm) or the Stinger (Brandy
and Creme de Menthe - ewwwww). And you can tell they have
can't you.
|
Karen and Sarah at the cocktail party - valiantly
trying to hold each other up.
|
The Hippodrome Theatre where Cary used to work
backstage.
|
Three quarters of the victorious quiz team, The
Awful Untruth. Esther, Derna and Donna are showing off their
wonderful prizes. The other member, John, is taking the
photo.
|
Karen and Helen of Dexter's Haven with the prizes
they won at the fiendish Cary quiz.
|
Cheryl of the A-Team, showing off her prize for
coming last. Oh sorry guys, coming a wonderful 4th (out of
4).
