We
are a branch of Cats Protection, the UK's oldest charity dedicated to the
welfare of cats. Like other branches we are all volunteers and the branch
is self-supporting, raising all the money to carry out our work locally.
Like
many branches we do not have a purpose-built shelter, so our fosterers look
after cats in pens in their gardens.
The
work we do includes rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing stray and unwanted
cats and kittens, promoting the neutering of all domestic cats, and providing
help and guidance to the public on all aspects of cat care and welfare.
We
also help out with feral colonies, when requested, by humanely trapping the
cats, neutering them and returning them to site (where appropriate). We then
provide the colonies with food when necessary.
The
post codes we cover are SP10 and SP11.
Full
details of the work of Cats Protection can be found on the national website
at www.cats.org.uk.
