CATS
PROTECTION
Like most Branches
we have a number of cats who, for various reasons are not suitable for re-homing.
This might be because of illness, age or temperament. These cats stay in long-term
foster care and we operate a Sponsorship Scheme where, for a small donation,
people can sponsor one (or more!) of these cats. The sponsorship money helps
towards the food and veterinary bills for the cats.
Details of some of the
sponsor cats are given below. If you would like to join the Sponsorship Scheme,
please contact our Sponsorship Secretary

ERROL
Known
as "Errol the Feral", he is approximately 6 years old. He was continually
found in the trap at a local army camp when we were carrying out a "feral
campaign". His persistence was rewarded and he was taken to a place of
safey in a foster home, where he rules the roost.
FELIX
Felix is
approximately 9 years old. He was found living wild in a garrison town and
liked no-one and nothing. He was trapped as he was annoying the local cats.
Resisting initial overtures of friendship he was allowed to live in a long-term
foster home, where he is now happy and has adjusted to the other cats.
JESSICA
Jessie is
a about 8 years old and she came into the care of CP after a "trap, neuter
and return" programme. 12 weeks old when trapped, Jessie was very wild
and did not tame down. She therefore went to a long-term foster home where
she was adopted by a feline "mum" and "dad".
SUNDANCE
A black
and white short-haired male, about 7 years old, Sundance came into our care
because his owner was being evicted. He had not been handled and was very
timid. He therefore spent a long time in a cat colony before being relocated
to one of our foster homes, where he now lives happily with the other cats.
