the whole process of making a short film - from script development and
planning, to budgeting and scheduling, funding, casting and crewing,

Getting your script right is the key to seeing your film getting made.
We'll take you through the relationship between producer and writer
and explore the techniques that turn a good script into a great script.

the point if nobody ever sees it? This intensive course will guide you
through finding an audience for your film; how to market it to film
buyers and distributors; dealing with the Press; making the best of

Making the leap from short films to features is more than just a matter
of scale. The complexity of story, approaches to funding and distribution,
and managing the production are unique in features. Through a series
of lectures, case studies and guest speakers, this workshop will lead
filmmakers towards a smooth and successful transition from short films
to masterful cinema features.

We a have a range of practical screenwriting courses, from introduction
through intermediate level to advanced techniques. We can also tailor
courses to your individual needs.

A masterclass on the challenges and issues involved in filming on location.
How do you find the right location or venue for your filming? What issues
do you need to deal with? What legal requirements are necessary to run
a smooth location shoot. We will be led by location manager Hugh Gourlay,
one of the UK's top professionals whose credits include Hallam Foe,
Nany McPhee & Saving Private Ryan. A unique chance to hear from
a master craftsman how it should be done.
