HOW TO MAKE A FILM :: for directors, producers and filmmakers Date: 9.30am to 4.30pm, 25 & 26 July 2009 Using Fluid Eye Production's years of experience, we'll take you through the whole process of making a film - from script development and planning, to budgeting and scheduling, funding, casting and crewing, pre-production, production, post-production, marketing and distribution. By the end of the course, students will be confident about producing their first major film. Ideal for anyone who wants to make a great film that will appeal to audiences and funders. Script Development: how to get a good script for a film; the producer’s role in script development. We’ll look at developing ideas for documentary too. Fundraising: where and how to get the money; what funders are looking for; how to budget and schedule your film; how to put together the best package and team for your project Pre-production: how to plan your film; cast, locations and crews; production paperwork Production: how to survive the shoot Post-production: How to deliver the best film. distribution: how to find an audience for your film; film festivals, broadcasters, sales agents and online distribution
