IOTA activation (26-27/7/2008)

Location was near Carraig Fhada Lighthouse in Port Ellen. I settled on a site next to the sea, near our bed and breakfast.

Rig was elecraft K2 and antenna was an 80m doublet supported on a 30ft fishing pole.

Operation was al-fresco with only a large fishing umbrella for shelter

The wx was brilliant, but when the wind died the midges moved in. Boiling hot during the day and very chilly at night.
