New Developments at Dragon Hall |
|
Dragon Hall has been offered a grant of £1,362,000 by the Heritage Lottery Fund to complete the repair of the building. A new extension will be built with improved facilities and a new exhibition and display system installed. The total cost will be £1,836,311 and a final £72,000 must be raised towards the matching funding. The Norfolk and Norwich Heritage Trust have managed the building for the past seventeen years, keeping it open to the public with the help of volunteers and a small number of staff. There will be three main elements to the Dragon Hall project:-
The Trust aims to make Dragon Hall an enjoyable experience for everyone that uses it, to help every visitor learn something new about it and to continue to care for the building to safeguard its future. The project will have real and long lasting public benefits:-
Work
will start on site in May 2004 and the project will be completed in July
2005. |
