English Concertina Workshops

Here we are into the third year of English Concertina Workshops this Winter Season 2011/12.
These workshops are open to all of 12 years old upwards. If you already own an English Concertina, excellent!
For those who don't, through the generosity of the West Country Concertina Players, we have a number of good English Concertinas available for hire at £15 per month
to use both at the workshops and to take home for practising.

Pricing

Group sessions     9 x 1 hour monthly workshops from Sept to May £135 for the season in advance (£15 per session)

The Workshops
(This a broad outline, the demographic of the group will naturally dictate, so times and number of workshops per evening may vary accordingly)

1st Squeeze - A series of 9 monthly workshops from Sept until May
These are for the absolute beginner, where we'll be looking at how best to get into good habits from the outset. As time progresses, we'll gradually learn new tunes, each of which will bring in a new technique. The ability to read music is not necessary.  From 12 years old and upwards.
Cost: £135 (ie £15 per workshop) payable in advance

2nd Squeeze - A series of 9 monthly workshops from Sept until May   
These are for folks who can already play a bit, ie play tunes using simple bass end accompaniment. New techniques and style developed with new tunes and, as before, ability to read music not necessary. From 12 years old and upwards.
