This trailer was bought as a stock tow van mass production type trailer and ordered with a 'ramp door' as an option. (same door as a horse box) It came from a company called Ifor-Williams in Wales, UK.

The drum was then mounted in a frame in the rear floor and the side was cut out and hinged to give light, fresh air and an escape route! Cooling fans and a computer system were fitted in the front end, along with four gas analyser.

Due to the weight of the solid drum, the rear axle had to be re-located backwards a few inches to give proper balance and stability while towing.

It was built to allow us to develop the DynoPower (c) dyno software fully and allow us to actually use it in the field while working for motorcyclists and magazines alike, and at the race track at weekends.. It earned its keep.

Having always been a bit of a hooligan, I had a bad motorcycle accident in July 97 and spent a long time in hospital and am now paralysed from the chest down. I cannot get my wheelchair into the trailer so this has now been sold on, to another customer.

For the same reason partly, it has been decided to concentrate on our self build option from now on. We no longer build the dyno chassis, we leave that part to you! We have the software and electronics that are required to build a dyno as a kit so that you can easily build the rest yourself. Not everybody can afford to buy a system ready built, or even wants to, but you can now build a superior dyno system for cars or bikes for yourself.
