Try and be clear in what you need right now. Are you for instance looking for facts about your specific illness? Are you looking for the experiences of others who may have already gone through something similar to that which you are just starting? Are you looking for new ways and strengths to help you tackle difficult matters such as money or relationships?
The English Healing Centre (EHC), if used sensibly, will hopefully provide you with the information, wisdom and 'signposts' that you need to take a direct route towards your specified goal. Whether that goal is getting rid of cancer or creating a wealthier life, there is guidance contained here that will help you. We offer no miracle cures, no revolutionary new ideas, no magic bullets. What we have to say has probably been said many thousands of times before, but maybe in slightly different ways.
We don't ask you to give us your time, we ask you to give yourself the time. Be patient, be thorough and you will witness improvements in your life. Improvements that you will have made happen. It has taken Winnie and me 3 years to reach the stage we are at now, hardly a life time but then it hasn't happened overnight either. And we are still in the process of change. Be prepared to learn, be prepared to change and don't try to hurry anything. There is no need. When your inner guidance knows that you're looking for answers, you'll be given all the time you need to find them. We have mapped out below, typical stages for someone new to holistic and spiritual healing who may be visiting the site for the first time:-
STAGE 1
Get to know us. The nature of our work as 'healers' demands knowledge on a personal level. We feel it very necessary that you know who you are dealing with, that the people who are suggesting these ideas are actually living it for themselves. Well, we are. We believe that we are relatively unusual in our lifestyle, certainly in the U.K.; we have made use not only of our own guidance but also that of many of the people that we have read (Chopra, Hay, Abraham etc) to live a life that is truly based on creating our own reality. In the material world of South East England we are a challenge to those who are working all hours to achieve similar ends. We are trusting that our true needs will be met on every level, and for the last two years that has been the case. So go to the About Us room first, and learn about your hosts.You may read it and decide to 'get the hell out of here as fast as possible'...
STAGE 2
If you're still here, then the first question to ask yourself is this:- do I fully understand that what I am thinking can affect how my body behaves, even how money and happiness come to me?
If you cannot yet accept that you are playing any part in your continuing dis-ease, be it poverty or cancer, then you have probably not examined the right evidence. It is vital that if you want to pursue or are pursuing any form of holistic approach (be it positive thinking, vibrational medicine, alternative therapies or meditation), you fully arm your own intellect with all the information it needs to realise that there is some point in pursuing a holistic approach. Your starting place therefore is to begin reading books and case studies that provide evidence of this mind body connection so that you can make your own mind up and be convinced (or otherwise) of why a holistic approach to your life may work. Remember, holistic means whole - that is mind, body even spirit. Every part of you and your life is important. You cannot ignore one thing that brings you pain, considering it to be unimportant or irrelevant. Your clues are in your pain and in your happiness. Be prepared to look everywhere knowing that your chosen holistic approach will produce far better results if you are viewing your life unconditionally.
Your first step therefore would be to start searching for this information which, in the EHC, you will find by going to the rooms marked as follows:-
Give yourself as much time as possible to read through the information and books which seem appropriate, and commit to Stage 2 as a process that will continually be useful in your healing. We are both still reading new books and case studies and find that in their own way each new example helps to create an even greater reason to trust in oneself. Never think you know it all and therefore have no need to be told by anyone that the body can heal itself. You'll never know it all, and you'll always need reminding (normally when you least expect it!).
Only when you are totally convinced that there is a connection between our emotions/thoughts and our physical bodies are you ready to move on to the next stage.
STAGE 3
If by some chance you don't already know how to meditate, learn. Do not skip over this and expect to get away with it- you won't. If you don't think there's any point in meditating then you haven't completed Stage 2 thoroughly. Complete self-knowledge, the goal of everyone in healing, can only come about through the gentle and patient experience of stillness. This stillness is accessed most easily through meditation.

STAGE 4
If you are seeking our personal recommendations for whatever your problem may be, you can fill out the questionnaire which you will find in the Consultation Room. We do not give medical advice, diagnosis, nor do we prescribe treatments other than on an appointment basis. We may however suggest a course of action (books, visualisations, affirmations, important questions to ask) that may help you to focus your mind more clearly. We offer no 'cyberspace cures' and will always remind you to remember that it is you who has to do the work to create your happiness and health, not anyone else. We will also remind you that you are capable of doing anything.

STAGE 5
Gaining inspiration is the very essence of the EHC. Whether you have serious illness or great unhappiness in your life, searching out stories, people and positive approaches that inspire you will inevitably help your situation. With your clarity of mind improving through your increased mind/body knowledge and meditations, you will find that the positive feelings will increase as you learn of other people who have created, or are in the process of creating, new realities for themselves. The feeling of excitement any particular example gives you is your inner guidance system letting you know that exactly the same, or better, is possible for you. Pursue that particular topic and learn to listen to your body's language.
STAGE 6
Can you really believe that what you are thinking now is going to create your future? That what you are thinking now could undo almost any physical problem that you may be having? Are you really open to the possibility of anything and everything changing for the better in your life? If so, or even if you're on the way but not quite fully there yet, then you are really ready to start learning from the wealth of knowledge that is available on self-development.
You may wish to start with our book, or one of the others recommended in The Library (positive thinking, self-development). You may want to visit a site on the net, in which case go to Links to Other Sites. You may on the other hand decide to stay clear of books and other input for the time being whilst you get to know the real you through meditation and simple exercises such as Turning our Fears into Something Good (Ideas and Insights). You must do whatever feels right and really learn that the time that you take to do these things is not important (however much your intellect may be telling you to 'hurry up'); what is important is the honesty with which you start to approach your life. You cannot reach your destination without making the journey. Make the journey and enjoy the route that you take.
Learn to recognise the aspects that make up you - your fears, your hopes, your joy, your pain. Remember too your humour. Use the wisdom and experience of us and others to learn from, but remember that you are the one with a destination and you are the one who has to make your journey to get there. No-one else can judge that the route you are choosing to take is either right or wrong. No-one else can even judge whether your destination is appropriate. Enjoy your independence, but know that the support you need is always around you.
And finally. Take what you need to start with, and come back, again and again and again. The site will be continually evolving and is in its 'embryonic' stage at the moment. We will make mistakes and we will try to learn from them.There is no cost involved (unless you decide you want to support us with a donation or by ordering a book or C.D.) - and the only way this site stands a chance of surviving is if people show that there is a need for it.
