Traditional Use of Lime in Buildings
We run occasional courses in association with Elaine Rigby Architects in the traditional use of lime in building work.
Each course takes about 12-15 delegates and lasts for most of a day. We provide the theoretical background and "hands on" experience in slaking lime, mixing mortars and in using the material in pointing, rendering and lime washing.
Most courses are of an introductory nature, covering a wide range of uses, but more specific courses can be run on request. Attendees in the past have included builders and tradesmen, architects, building surveyors, academics and students, conservation officers, and owners of old buildings.
If you are interested in attending one of these courses please get in touch for inclusion on our mailing list.
