COMP SAFARI CHAMPIONSHIP REGULATIONS

1. The East Midland Off Road Club (hereafter referred to as EMORC) will organise a Comp Safari championship under the following regulations

2. The event will be held under the General Rules and Regulations of the RAC Motor Sports Association Ltd. (incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the FIA), these Supplementary Regulations, and any written instructions issued by the organisers. RACMSA Permit No. to be advised prior to/or available at the event.

3. The Championship is open to members of EMORC. Members who enter a Safari will be automatically entered for the championship. The championship register opens upon publication of these regulations and closes at the end of signing on at the last event.

4. The EMORC Championship will consist of a minimum of 5 rounds with scores from all rounds staged to count. The organisers reserve the right to amend the number of rounds depending upon circumstances. Full details of dates and venues for each Safari will be published on the club web-site.

5. Vehicle Eligibility: All vehicles and competitors must comply with RAC MSA Safety Regulations and EMORC Technical Regulations.

6. All drivers must be in possession of a current Clubmans or higher Competition Licence. Drivers and navigators must be a member of EMORC or any other MSA registered club. Membership cards must be shown at the signing on post.

7. The maximum entry for each event is 100 the minimum is 5. The organisers reserve the right to amalgamate classes as necessary, and details of such will be given at the Competitors Brief

8. The Championship will comprise of 8 Vehicle classifications: as detailed in the Competitors Yearbook (H22.14).
CLASS 1 Standard 4WD Vehicles
CLASS 2 Modified Standard Vehicles
CLASS 3 All two wheel drive
CLASS 4 Diesel Engined 4WD Vehicles
CLASS 5 All Leaf Sprung Petrol Engined Vehicles
CLASS 6 Non Leaf Sprung Petrol up to 2500cc
CLASS 7 Non Leaf Sprung Petrol 2500cc to 3600cc
CLASS 8 Non Leaf Sprung Petrol 3600cc and over

9. Awards for the event will be awarded as follows: 1,2,3, in each class dependent on numbers in class. To qualify for the Championship awards competitors must have gained an asterisk.

10. Competitors are reminded of their rights of Protest and Appeal, as detailed in Chapter 10 of the current RAC MSA Yearbook.

11. Minimum age of passengers is 16.
