The software available on this site is designed to be used on a Microsoft Windows based system. As it is a 32bit program this requires a minimum of Windows 95 in order to run. The program differs from the printed version insofar as it provides feedback to the user upon completion of the questionnaire by commenting on whether the drinking level is hazardous or not. No attempt is made to delineate harmful drinking which is possible by examining the responses given during the process of questionnaire completion.
As it is desirable to keep any individual's responses confidential, a password is required to view the database of completed questionnaires. The password is available by simply sending me an email providing the serial number which appears on the password screen. This varies on each computer that the software is installed upon in order to minimise the chances of any individual accessing data on another computer.
