Home About San Juan The Apartment Things to Do About Aguilas Golf Booking How to get there

San Juan de Los Terreros

A small and peaceful seaside resort with sandy, uncrowded beaches, safe bathing and a lovely recently built promenade with tastefully designed café bars which blend well into the surroundings. Incidentally, there are just 23 ‘Blue Flag’ beaches in the whole of Andalucia, and we have 3 of them.

San Juan Beach

In the ‘pueblo’ we have half a dozen or so restaurants, a couple of ice cream parlours, a few shops, two small supermarkets (one particularly well stocked and catering for all tastes and nationalities), a chemist – and that’s about it really. There is only one hotel of any note, so the people you meet and talk to will be mainly Spanish residents, villa or apartment owners, or their guests. Any building is restricted to a maximum of 3 stories, so the whole area has a very ‘open’ feel.

There is more than enough free parking next to the beaches which are never particularly busy, except during the Spanish holidays in July and August. It is of course a compliment to San Juan that it is seen as an excellent family holiday destination, though the limited accommodation means that it can’t become too crowded .

Carolina Beach

San Juan The holiday atmosphere that the Spanish families bring is excellent, especially around the promenade area. It is very much family orientated, completely non threatening, and so enjoyed by all.

Golfers please note that we are in a very up and coming area for your enjoyment. We have a new course within 5 minutes drive of the apartment, so please go to the ‘golf’ page for details of these and other nearby courses

We are very fortunate in that we have the wonderful, still very ‘Spanish’ seaside town of Aguilas nearby (see the separate page), and we feel that the combination of San Juan and Aguilas, makes an ideal holiday blend.
