Dramatis Personae - The Fall of the Temple of Isis

IDE - A former slave, now a freedwoman. She is clever and adroit at intrigue but not malicious. She is in love with:

MUNDUS - A young handsome freeborn Roman citizen of the first century AD, who is in love with (or, more accurately, lusts after):

PAULINA - A beautiful young matron, who is a fervent follower of the Cult of Isis. She is well known for her chasteness and is married to:

SATURNINUS - an older man and political associate of:

THE EMPEROR TIBERIUS - a man grown bitter after his enforced divorce from his beloved first wife Vipsania Aggripina and farcical marriage to Julia. He wishes to rid Rome of the cult of the Temple of Isis, of which:

XANTHIUS and several others are PRIESTS.
