Balthazar, a success on this year's Edinburgh Fringe, is a one man play about the journey of the Magi. Written and performed by Gavin, it was staged along with The Laughing Roundhead, also written and performed by Gavin, at The Nicol Edwards Theatre, Edinburgh.

In The Inside Story of Dr Crippen, by Jean Dallman, Gavin played the notorious doctor, murdering his wife, Belle Elmore, on stage, to great effect.
