Joint concert with the Cory Band
April 20th BADMINTON WITH THE ROYAL FAMILY Martins
at 11.30 am
The Anthem being sung by the choir who after
the service were introduced to each member of the royals. Even so it was
a very devisive venue, some members left after being omitted from the staging
choir, but some remained true to the flag.
Annual Dinner in May at the Ex-servicemens Club
with the "COINS" Music for Pleasure.
The door was locked and barred and the night was
cold and starred midnight had gone but still no sign of the four who cared
not for the fifty four.
The driver was told to go and go he did.
It cost the choir £30 and nearly a secretary
too; he threatened to resign but we lost him later anyway.
So much for loyalty taken but not given.

Tansil and Harry Powell..
It was Philip Jones and Brian Crowle who told
the driver to go!

On 18th October our Annual Concert was held at
the Leisure Centre the artist being
Miriam Bowen
The annual tour took us to Cornwall where 69
stayed at The Trelawney hotel in Draycott Terrace.
This year we undertook engagements at:-
Trellech, Abergavenny, Wantage, Holt, Mount Pleasant,
Cwm, Bristol,
The Albert Hall , Ross and Bradford-on- Avon.
Ross.
At Holt we sang Peace and War, My Love is Like
a Red Red Rose, An Eriskay Love Lilt,Deep River, Song of the Armada, Psalm
100 ,All in the April Evening,
Psalm 23, Silver Birch, Cavalry of the Steppes,
Bryn Myrddin and Morte Criste.
Bank balance £1924.00.
and we had a new front door.
